The answer was simple - develop a 'cloud' based, easy to use software that site teams and construction managers can use to monitor and record all aspects of the construction process; ensuring time is not lost to quality, communication and reporting issues.
You will join a team made up of a Company Director, Senior BDM and Customer Success Manager as they continue their quest to improve the construction industries quality systems.
You will be making use of the companies existing contacts and your industry contacts within the construction industry, connecting, engaging with and presenting the software system to the potential of this QA system. You will be:
Identifying and connecting with prospective clients
Meeting and presenting the benefits of the software to tier 1, tier 2 head contractors and specialist sub-contractors in the same space
Develop a pipeline of clients and sales, growing the customer base
Hitting targets and milestones - growing the business and developing a team over the medium to longer term
Regular visits to the team in New Zealand
Who suits the role
The ideal candidate will be a Business Development professional in the construction industry, or be a construction professional looking for a change into a BD role and ultimately into a Business leader role - supplying the construction industry.
However, candidates are also encourage to apply who are SaaS specialists, if they have an understanding of the construction industry - if you meet the following, why not apply:
Must have a strong knowledge of the commercial construction process, OR work as a BDM within SaaS
Probably around 5 years’ experience in a BDM role - related to construction (ideally) or SaaS (secondary preference)
Ideally have been working in the construction industry, here in Victoria (your contacts are needed)
Proactive and motivated personality and capable of explaining the software to prospective clients (so SaaS BDM specialists are also welcome to apply)
Efficient and motivated personality
