Business Development Manager | BMS | HVAC | Service Austcorp Executive - Sydney - 8 Sep 2018

My client offer are an award winning provider of Building Technology & Services. They are a specialist leader in Building Management Service, Heating and cooling, refrigeration & Security.

Due to demand for their products and sustained growth they are actively looking for a motivated and career oriented Business Development Manager to join their successful Service & Maintenance team in Sydney. T

he company are well established worldwide with a recent growing presence throughout Australia – They now employ over 400 staff from 8 locations with main branches in all states turning over $200m+

++ This role is open to both graduate sales candidates right through to BMS Industry sales professionals ++

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for growth of the Planned Service agreement contracts and Service executed Retrofit.         
  • Working in a technical sales capacity selling the company’s products including BMS systems, Service & Maintenance contracts, upgrades, fit outs, equipment and services for HVAC & Security etc.  
  • Hunter mentality, grow new business from both existing accounts and new business.         
  • Liaising with prospective clients regularly and using industry knowledge and contacts to position yourself well and build up a great network generating opportunities, sales leads and orders.       
  • You will get involved from the beginning of the process, managing maintenance contracts from cradle to grave, during the process technically and up to closing the sale including all negotiations.      
  • Read technical engineering drawings, help develop design plans and maintain/develop market trends and technologies.

Technical Skills:  

  • 3-5 years minimum of BMS/HVAC controls industry knowledge in a sales capacity in NSW ideally. 
  • Hunter mentality – Keen and willing to win the business but also happy to keep learning.         
  • Mechanical engineering background would be desirable.     
  • Well educated and ideally have TAFE, Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience/Attitude:

Ideally my client are looking for candidates to have Permanent Residency within Australia and possess the following experience:       

  • At least 5 years BDM experience within the Sydney CBD ·         
  • Boast excellent achievements and sales figures within the mechanical/BMS industry ·        
  • Have contacts within the industry and be able to prove their relationship building skills
