Having dominated the New Zealand construction market for over 5 years, Franklin Smith has recently expanded into the Queensland Construction market. Working with over 40 clients with operations in Australia and New Zealand, our business is agile, proactive and ready to add value for clients and candidates both sides of the Tasman.

Our construction team is now searching for a Business Development Manager for a national main contractor who are the dominant players in their own specific niche of consturction. Due to increased pipeline of opportunities the company is seeking a Business Development Rep to win work, secure woirk and account manager packages up to $12M in value.

This company is a highly innovative business currently combining market leading technology with traditional construction and are right now, at the cutting edge of an industry likely to be totally disrupted in the decades to come.

This role will suit a Carpenter with some Sales Experience or an Extroverted Estimator sick of pushing the calculator all days and wants more variation in their work.

Responsibilities:

What you’ll be doing

Proactively sourcing new business for the company throughout the brisbane construction market.

Gathering and chasing new leads via various business development channels

Understanding customer needs face to face to identify the best possible marketing solutions for them.

Presenting bids to potential stakeholders and clients

Developing prices and estimates and working closely with estimating team to achieve good margin for the company and good business for the client

Delivering excellent customer service and building rapport with your customers to gain continuous business and referrals.

Attending Sales meetings and conferences when required to share best practice from your manager and rest of the team.
