Asset Management Engineer - Fremantle Ports - 11 Aug 2017

Level 3/4 - $79,812 - $97,458 dependent on skills and qualifications, plus 9.5% superannuation.

Fremantle Ports is entering an exciting period of change and transformation, as it strives towards its new vision to become Australia’s best maritime gateway through the implementation of a new five year business plan. A permanent, full time opportunity now exists for an Asset Management Engineer to form part of our Asset Strategy branch located in Fremantle.

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to support the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Fremantle Ports’ Asset Management (AM) capability. To be successful in this role you will have a technical understanding of asset life cycle management, including the optimisation of life cycle costs, data management and data analytics. You should have the ability to implement the principles of ISO5500 Asset Management standards to deliver practical and achievable outcomes within a Port environment.

Other functions of this role include;

  • Assisting with the optimisation of life cycle costs;
  • Supporting the development of life cycle cost models (LCCMs) and related tools;
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of AM tools including identification of appropriate optimisation techniques, selection of life cycle management software, data assessment and visualisation platforms;
  • Assisting in the development of links between LCCMs, maintenance management system and financial system;
  • Promoting the AM system through presentations, workshops and regular catch up with relevant stakeholders.
